On Tuesday, October 4th, The New World Center hosted a screening of “Before The Flood,” a documentary about climate change, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Fisher Stevens. After the screening, Mark Ruffalo introduced a panel discussion with DiCaprio, Fisher Stevens, Mayor Philip Levine, UM marine anthropologist, Kenny Broad and marine biologist/executive director of Miami Waterkeeper, Rachel Silverstein.

Located in the heart of Miami Beach, the center is also a highly sought-after event venue offering a number of unique spaces including the Performance Hall, the Atrium with its vaulted ceiling and six stories of natural light, the 2700 sq. ft. SunTrust Pavilion, and the Rooftop Garden featuring a panoramic vista from Biscayne Bay to the Atlantic Ocean.
